Trade Futures Ltd was set up in the UK and soon in Dubai with the intention of educating potential investors of diversifying their portfolios into the world of commodities trading. Hollywood movies such as Wall Street (1987) and Trading Places (1983) portrayed that these markets could only be traded by specialized individuals. The mere fact of telling someone you are short Feeder Cattle or long Rough Rice is bound to raise a few eyebrows.

The number of online brokers providing futures trading has increased over the years and the futures market is available to anyone wishing to trade. There are numerous publications that indicates only 5% of traders are successful. The point to note is that for every loser there is a winner and vice versa. In order to be that winner you need a trading plan which involves knowledge, a trading software, money management, discipline and patience.

Risk Disclosure: Trading security futures contract may not be suitable for all investors. You may lose a substantial amount of money in a very short period of time. The amount you may lose is potentially unlimited and can exceed the amount you originally deposit with your broker. This is because futures’ trading is highly leveraged, with a relatively small amount of money used to establish a position in assets that have a much greater value. If you are uncomfortable with this level of risk, you should not trade security futures contracts.
